This morning Team Fortress 2 launched for everyone using the “hacked” Linux client. No more “server is too busy” errors for those of you not in the beta. Just search for Team Fortress 2 from Steam, click “PLAY GAME” and enjoy. Keep in mind the full download weighs in at 12.0 GB. Have a previous Team Fortress 2 installation? You can save a few hours of downloading using this trick.
If you’re not in the official beta check out our quick & dirty guide for installing Steam on Ubuntu, Arch, Fedora and Slackware.
