Knock, Knock. Who’s There? The Linux GameCast Weekly crew motherfu*kers and we’re in an unusual cabin deep in the woods. No good will come of this.

About:
There is an unusual cabin deep in the woods. It had served as a laboratory and a dwelling for three generations of Lodgers. But as of late the latest Lodger has been noticing weird changes in familiar surroundings; things are missing, noises and rattle heard. Something odd is coming out of the woods.

FUN

V-

  • It’s a funky joint and calling it a game is a ………………..stretch

  • That said, I had an okay time and really enjoyed the twisted imagery.

  • Worth $10 wet stinky? If you like playing through twisted stories. yes. If not, wait for a sale.

J-

  • Its kind of boring.

  • Kept me going as long as I did because I was curious to see where it was going

  • If I want to expierence waking up in the middle of the night and hearing strange noises and being chased by monsters, I’d just take a nap

P-

  • This is not a game, this was a means of conveying a story.

  • Unfortunately, it didn’t exactly do it the right way either.

  • The game freezing, to give the crappy expository dialogue in gibberish, was a huge bump on the road to the all important immersion. It breaks the flow. Especially, when it happens right when the Haunters show up in pursuit of your character.

    • Whomever had that brilliant idea needs to be strapped to a chair and force-fed Final Fantasy X-2 through XIV, until he or she knows what immersion (or lack there of) does to a game.

Verdict-

  • I spent most of the time I should have been playing this game, playing Bionic Dues instead.
