Yeah, I used to have a junk box at the office that they pretty much let me have free run with. I had Ubuntu (cue the boos and hisses by the anti*buntu people) and I had all sorts of stuff on it. I'd run terminator with htop, cmatrix, and the updates going on it.

Had people take double looks at my cubicle because of it.

I also agree that Canonical seems more focused on the desktop and server distros and that rather than phones and tv, etc. Kind of sad that they hyped it and then failed to deliver on it.
