Steam News :

Source 2 Left 4 Dead 2 Prototype Screenshots Leaked?

  • Promises promises

  • HL3 confirmed! 11!

Space Hulk

  • Judging by the press review snippets on the Steam page you almost think it’s a good game.

  • Then you look at the Metascore and you see a 58/100

  • Its typical of the other non-dawn of war warhammer games I’ve played.   If you’re a fan of that kind of game,. this one is for you

Beat Blaster III coming soon

  • Should be out by the end of Feb

  • The preview build works without issue.

  • Big thanks to Joseph Lieberman for the keys

Starlite: Astronaut Rescue

  • Well, the price is certainly right

    • 10 whole minutes with 0 replay value, I’m sorry that’s too expensive.

Rusty Doors

  • Summarized pour vous

    • Doors!   With optional Passcode

    • Fixed a bunch of issues with grass

    • Sleeping bags are fixed and now there are honest to god beds.  BEDS!

    • Added vsync option

    • Bunch of tweaks and fixes to item repairing

    • No more random “Boom!  Headshots”

    • New music

DMCA takedown notice ..the game

  • Also known as “gamepad killer 2014”

  • Not a big fan of their art direction.

  • I wanted to like it    ………….I didn’t

  • It tries to present an Amnesia-like atmosphere, then you start playing…

    • If I see a hand graby thing it best work like Frictional.

  • It’s like Scratches without the horror or Asylum without the undertones.

  • It was made as a commentary regarding a kerfuffle among the PnC adventure rebirth community and manages to be even less interesting.

  • I am damn tired of that guys voice already

Cryengine on my Linux?

  • Release date: Q4,  2015 on PC, PC and PC

    • But will it be out on PC!?!

    • Benchmarking: The Role-Playing Game!

Relics of Annorath Update,474.0.html

  • Glad the project is still makes /w the updates.

  • Fix your fk mothering download server.

  • Moar updates to make it less and less playable on my calculator! Damn Unigine…

  • Reminds me of the level editor that shipped /w Q1.

The Dance of the Damned

  • We should make friends /w this guy

  • Complete with strippertastic armor!

  • Hmmm… It says it’s a custom engine, but I’ve seen enough Unity to recognize that bloom lighting, those textures and that DAMN GRASS!

The Dark Mod 2.01 is out

  • Fixed savegame issues

  • Fixed combat bugs, made it more forgiving at lower difficulties and harder in higher difficulty settings

  • Female character models now look prettier

  • Physics in “The Swing” map are now working as they should

Game: Octodad – Dadliest Catch

Devel: Young Horses

Engine: Irrlicht (C++ based)

Price: $11.99/€11.19/.02 ell of vaðmál

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a game about destruction, deception, and fatherhood. The player controls Octodad, a dapper octopus masquerading as a human, as he goes about his life. Octodad’s existence is a constant struggle, as he must master mundane tasks with his unwieldy boneless tentacles while simultaneously keeping his cephalopodan nature a secret from his human family.

Makes with the working

  • Arealy caused one killing from top

  • Steam overlay is nonexistent.

  • These motherfkrs didn’t test. Shite.

Shiny / Sounds

  • I like the art direction.

  • Shadows appear as quivering pixels on my AMD using the open sauce drivers.

  • It defaults to full screen and disabled my external monitor in the process. I’m sorry but that shit just doesn’t fly around here, anymore.

  • Even on the lowest settings the game is choppy as balls on my calculator. Just keep in mind this same calculator played me to the end of Metro Last Light with constant 40+ FPS with the quality slider halfway up.

  • Really? This is mapped for the PS4 controller? REALLY?!

  • SDL2 motherfucker, why not use it!

  • “We are going to look into compiling Irrlicht with SDL support to see if this better solves some of these issues” <-Devel

  • Keyboard + wireless gerbil work without issue.

  • Yeah, this really needs a controller.   Or a wii-mote type getup.

  • Too easy with the keyboard + mouse

  • I wanted to rage-quit from anger, not boredom.

  • Using the keyboard + gerbil makes the game *stupid easy

  • I’m guessing proper controller support would add something resembling a challenge?

  • *I’m a high functioning alcoholic.

  • Its a stupid kind of enjoyable

  • Its fun for about 15 minutes, and then I kind of want to put it down.

  • Would make an interesting drinking game

  • Performance was bad

  • graphics had more than a few glitches

  • and by the end of the tutorial wedding level I was done.

Final – *

Be nice

Game in ? Haunt (Slender Clone)

  • Being indie excuses a number of things. Graphical consistency/polish, maybe even proper sound direction. What it doesn’t excuse is shitty gameplay, laziness and graphical glitches that could be sorted easily by anyone paying attention.

  • In fact, the one AAA game we’ve reviewed so far (Metro Last Light) got 2 chairs. We’ve had more indie games scoring 3 chairs than not. You sir, have no idea what you’re talking about.

  • Well sweetness that’s because nothing was done right. This is just another in a long line of shite Slender clones.

  • Or when we actually talk about what the game got right

  • *goes to next hate mail*

Distro Horizons

  • Thanks for screaming in our direction. That said, come gather round chitlens.

  • “Imagine if Banjo Kazooie, Crash Bandicoot, Super Mario 64 and Conker’s Bad Fur Day all met up and had a cheeky baby.”

  • This sounds neat but nothing in the prototype reflects that. Nothing. Nada.

  • Stick /w it (Greenlight is going tits-up BTW) and come back in a few months and blow our face organs off.

  • Hell, we might even lend some voice talent.

  • Also, that video thumbnail you got goin’ on isn’t doing you any favors.

  • Why does the main character look like he has to take a massive shit

A distro recommendation

  • 64bit only distro, hmm?

  • I know we’re living in the future and all, but there are still more than a few WINE games that don’t run at all in 64bit Linux.

  • Here’s a challenge: get Need for Speed World (which is free to play) to run on Chapeau and I’ll give it a spin.
