I would have to disagree that purchasing with Steam Play is a heretic purchase. Yes, you're buying a Windows game, but Valve said in their announcement that it counts as a Linux purchase. If you do that and it works satisfactorily enough, it's fine. If it doesn't work, it's a heretic purchase.
