I personally believe PoopOS is a mistake. I am a System76 customer (purchased several of their NetBooks back in the day) and currently own a laptop and a desktop. I have been pretty happy with the hardware and OS. I always install the System76 PPA if I wipe to install Ubuntu again.

I wouldn't have too much of a problem with System76 if they handled their announcement of their new 'OS' differently. I do not tolerate corporate propaganda and this is where System76 made a huge mistake.

Overall, PoopOS is unnecessary. The company knows this so they had to invent a story to justify its existence. Instead, they should just have said, we want to make our own OS because we can. I think more of us would be like ok go for it, we will just continue to use Ubuntu. GG.
