Okay Pawarumi has a very arcade structure but going as far as saying that the title is not a game changer, well I beg to differ.

Those guys when they started creating the game wanted to create a game that would scratch a puzzle shooter itch for shmups fans who appreciate titles like Ikaruga more than the overly difficult bullet hells.

Sure the game is about beat your score but figuring out the scoring mechanic is what puzzle shooters are all about.

So in short their goal was "Ikaruga except better way more balanced difficulty wise and that has a MacOS and Linux version contrary to aforementioned venerable ancestor and inspiration"

And I would dare to say that on that front they delivered the goods man
