The lvfs and fwupd "drama", that the post tries to conjure misses one critical piece:

After s76 made their concerns known, these concerns have been addressed by the project and they have a good working relationship now with it.

It is not that they made their concerns known and (which would have been fine) used it regardless of these concerns.
After all do we not all use some things we think could be better?
