Making things Linus proof is a good thing. I'm sure it will introduce more scrolling for people who know but for new linuxers it will be a big help to have the very basics given to us at the source. The biggest hurdle really for me after decades of abuse from Microsoft is that if something doesn't work, i have absolutely no idea how to fix it and sometimes the instructions on how to do so once i google for them presume a level of knowledge in the reader i do not have.

Maybe there could be two sets of instructions. One for you guys, and one for people like me who need to be treated like idiots. I don't care for Linus' work but he is pretty well situated to present the problems people like me might have in front of an audience, thereby getting things to be made a little easier and getting new Linuxers who will eventually be on the not-idiot instructions.
