XFCE Bug

Hi Venn,

I wonder if I could get your feedback on an XFCE bug? I noticed since installing Xubuntu 18.04 that when using Firefox, if you:

1. Select Customise... and deselect/un-tick the Title bar option at the bottom-left of the screen.
2. Maximise Firefox
3. Visit video site of your choice (youtube, etc).
4. Select a video to play and maximise to play it full-screen.
5. During or after video plays, exit video full-screen

Firefox also reduces so it is no longer maximised to full-screen. I would expect it to remain maximised in full-screen mode.

I submitted a bug to bugzilla.mozilla.org last year, but after triage it was determined to be a bug in XFCE specifically xfwm4. The good news is Olivier Fourdain has apparently now fixed it in.

However, the not-so-good news is I have no idea if/when this patch will be released to 4.12. As I write, it certainly hasn't made it's way into Xubuntu 18.04 (xfmwm4 4.12.4-0ubuntu1) but perhaps it's been updated in later versions?

So here's the point: I know from LGC 'casts you now run 18.10, so is it "fixed for you" (tm) i.e. is it worth abandoning the LTS path just to fix this annoyance?

Cheers muchly
