I use Genymotion to run android apps on my Linux Box of Goodness (its also a great tool for developing android apps - has a plugin for androidstudio which is super easy).
The ROMs available from Genymotion of course do not come with google play services, but its super easy to install.

What can you run on Genymotion? Everything. I play Star Wars Force Arena and X-Wing Squadron Builder. Graphics are great, performance is great.
