About a week ago I started playing with Wayland again, but unlike before I picked Gnome Shell to test with. (Usually I run Xfce and test Wayland on Sway or other Wayland specific DEs like Wayfire and Liri Shell) The almost everything works statement is true, but for me it is only minor things like a graphical login screen (GDM) and Pavucontrol crashes if I adjust the volume levels on an output device. Both of which I can work around using the command line a bit more.

So far no games popped up that I couldn't play, maybe because I'm on AMD with the Open Source drivers.

I hope that in 5 years even more niche use cases will be covered by Wayland based solutions.

Keep up the good work!
