OSVR is the WAY to play VR games on GNU/Linux. You guys really should look into OSVR since its the ONLY open source VR framework. The Razer HDK hardware is also open source!

Also, mobile VR will not take off until a solution for positional tracking is implemented. Without positional tracking, motion sickness is inevitable. This is exactly the reason Google did NOT design the cardboard with a head strap. More than a few minutes WILL give most people motion sickness b/c no positional tracking.
