Linux and the future

This is the easiest thing to answer. What do Mac and Windows have that Linux doesn’t? Standardization! No matter how good Linux is, nihs will not allow the components to unify and get standardized.

Why do we have 59 display managers, 27 app sdks, 6 different package managers, 14 init systems, 69 window managers. How do regular people use Linux if it is constantly in a state of flux? It’s fun ‭but‬ we need to unify.

There needs to be a Linux standards body and can accept a vote for the standardized components a la Bluetooth sig or khronos!
