Nvidia HDMI audio is the most underrated hardware in PCs. Think about the specs; monstrous channel count, at high sample rates and bit depths, with bitstream support.

They have rock solid timing better than most pro audio gear (check out how short your buffers can go!!), and if you want a DAC and headphone amp you get a secondhand hifi receiver for like a hundred bucks and you have a kilowatt surround sound system and a lush amp for when you're wearing cans.
