I play ESDF since QWTF (Quake World Team Fortress), easier to find in the dark because of the nub on the 'F' .
You have also more keys around the left hand to bind and it works perfectly with 10 finger typing.

Nowadays i use a modified² Belkin Nostromo N52TE, so i don't care what keys the game uses. ;)

² Changed it to mechanical keys.
