As for the tool checking in mircapture, yes it is a little excessive but... Mir is used for digital signage on embedded systems, not just Ubuntu devices. For this reason I can't be sure what tools are available, so made the checks as detailed as possible. Was somewhat surprised to hear Jordan criticise that level of sanity checking given how quickly he lambasts those who are not as thorough and release flaky software ☺️
