client disturbance

In last week's news, the three of you were pretty 'meh' on GOG's missing Linux client support
Here is my perspective on the client issue: Isn't it nice to just run a game and no steam-client-overlay-stuff involved (like in the olden days)?

I just want to have a little escapism for recreation and don't want the whole socialmedia-friends functions of the steam client. Nobody needs to know when I'm playing, or how much time I wasted this month a game. Thats where I see the strength of GoG or HumbleBundle. What's your take on that?
