The DSI port, which is used for the touchscreens, uses a different signaling method, and is not HDMI compatible in any way.
(50:43) Pedro's claim that the Pi 3 has gigabit ethernet is incorrect. It uses the same SMSC LAN9514 to provide 10/100 (piggybacked on the USB) as all previous versions of the Pi.
