About the Gnome, Unity thing.

I think the reason they stated "Gnome desktop environment" mostly because of the "officially supported distributions", Ubuntu 16.04 (yeah yeah I know its on unity), 18.04
CentOS 7 has gnome as their default DE but yeah I agree with Jordan, the DE war is a neverending hoopla (SHUT UP PEDRO!!!!).

Also Linda, if you want to stick to with some LTS stabilitiesses but with some regularly updated DE goodies, you *could* go with KDE Neon (The current Plasma is on 5.15, kubuntu backports for Bionic is still on 5.12.7)

Also Cameron.....VSCode is just atom with some bits taken off and some MS stuff bolted on, it's not awesome it's "okay" at best, And pedro VSCode is not visual studio, stop conflating a festering heap of garbage with a lesser heap of garbage. Jeebus Christos cameron!
