The guys in LGC do over-hype the ARCH! troll hyperbole. They spread FUD in a non serious way (I hope). I agree that Fedora is much more broken than Arch. Tried both out for a good 12 months at a time and I’m still on Arch linux and it hasn’t broken on me. Any major changes to Arch’s infrastructure the devs post a blog post on their website showing you what you need to do.
But what it boils down to is all these different distros are Linux in the long run. As for devs – yeah Linux is like the unwanted step child of the platforms. But it is slowly changing – two years ago there was not much interest at all.
