I could use some help, I’d like to get a new linux-gaming-laptop-computer but I don’t know what to get. For those who don’t know, I’m an American currently living in Tanzania, East Africa where the power is SHIT and can’t be trusted. Aside from buying an UBERLY expensive UPS; the next best option is just to get a laptop. All this being said; I haven’t been in the US since 2014 and I haven’t a clue what’s the bestest current hardware out there. What I’d like is a laptop that can have at least 32GB ram, have a current 1070/80 Nvidia card, i7 CPU. I can spend up to around $1,500 – $2,500 arounds abouts. So if anyone has any suggestions; I’m all ears.

The Bonobo is bigger, more expensive, has lower battery life but supports desktop grade processors and SLI GPUs.

So if you want cheap, as you mentioned, the Serval WS is a good option. Or the Entroware Athena, which is basically the same Clevo: https://www.entroware.com/store/laptops/athena
