Memberthese optimizations require Xlib to function in thread-safe mode. The NVIDIA OpenGL driver will automatically attempt to enable Xlib thread-safe mode if needed. However, it might not be possible in some situations, such as when the NVIDIA OpenGL driver library is dynamically loaded after Xlib has been loaded and initialized. If that is the case, threaded optimizations will stay disabled unless the application is modified to call XInitThreads() before initializing Xlib or to link directly against the NVIDIA OpenGL driver library. Alternatively, using the LD_PRELOAD environment variable to include the NVIDIA OpenGL driver library should also achieve the desired result.

ParticipantRight, but since Aspyr doesn’t do crappy ports, I’m going to guess they are calling XinitThreads() when they load Xlib and you don’t need to LD_PRELOAD anything.

Memberand i wouldn’t know that unless i ran a gdb logger or something. i don’t know if it’s required but i don’t think it’s hurting either.

Memberpossible bug (night time shadows) in Nvidia 343.13 w/ GTX 760, i removed the entire optimization command from the launch command box so it’s empty but still getting these weird texture issues after the hot fix from today.
http://steamcommunity.com/id/ubuntuaddi … ppid=49520UPDATE: i’ve been informed by other users that this bug may be caused by enabling AA settings within the NV Control Panel, i looked and i did have them checked but didn’t have time to start up BL2 this morning so i’ll report back after work if unchecking the AA stuff within the NV Control Panel fixes the issues shown in the picture.
PS i’m no full-metal windows user, haven’t been since 2005.

Phenom II X4 955 @Stock

MemberCPU: AMD FX 4 core, 3.2 Ghz (I think, could be 3.5)
GPU: AMD 7950 w/ 3GB of DDR5 RAM
32GB RAM
Running fglrx drivers
Game running from the old spinny disk type hard drive, not an SSD
OS: Mint 17Controller not detected at first start up. Fixed with xboxdrv -mimic-xpad.
A few stutters during cutscenes or entering a new area. Otherwise almost-flawless performance at 1920×1080. About 1/2 hour played. Linux Gaming Happiness achieved. Will test on Nvidia 750Ti box later.

MemberSince Borderlands 1 doesn’t exist on Linux we asked & got permission from Gearbox (cool guys they are) to just give Linux gamers the loyalty rewards in BL2. That’s why you’re seeing the popup giving you rewards, it didn’t seem fair to not even have the chance to get it so we just gave it to you.

Much respect. Please bring more games to Linux so I can give you more of my money.
