I’ve found some random “gaming” mice that claim they can be set from 500 to 3500 DPI and in order to teach some of these people, I was wondering if there was some way to accurately demonstrate exactly what DPI the mouse is set to despite what the “button” / “led” says it is.

If you have a sheet of graph paper, you can use this website to test: http://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/dpianalyzer.html

Though I’m not entirely sure how accurate it is, it claims my DPI is 805 when I have it set to 800 on Roccat Config tool.

I don’t think you can do it in software. I don’t think this is actually physically possible without some measurement hardware OR results can be inconsistent.

Easiest way i can think of, grab second mouse with similar sensitivity. Crank it up to the max. Crank no name mouse to the max and compare movement on desk vs on screen. Do same with other mouse.
