What is so sad is ID at one point was developing for Linux. Gave us AAA+ titles out of the box for a very short time then pulled out like they did on their girlfriends thinking it would keep them from getting pregnant. Sorry guys you had the date and you bailed after you stuck it in her. So now you pay cause someone else ran with it and found out it was really good.

Should have stayed with your old small ID software in the suite ideas. You might have made even more.

We only received those title because Carmack found Linux “neat”

He lost interest around Q3 and DOOM3 was the last meh IMHO.

Yeah, I met him when they where in a small suite behind our Amiga Wholesale suite in Richardson Tx . That was just before the release of Doom. They were great guys, always talked to us about computer trends. Never would port Doom to Amiga though……must not have been neat enough.
