    Don’t know if this works for every game, but when I’ve had a game that didn’t recognize the controller, using this command fixed it. It’s worked on Guacamelee! and The Swapper so far
    sudo rmmod xpad
    sudo xboxdrv –silent –mimic-xpad

    Hope that helps somebody out there.
