    So I was given this joystick because it won’t run in windows 10 (oh boo hoo) anyway, it shows up under lsusb, but I still haven’t a clue how to set it up for steam goodness.
    It’s a Genius F23 but all I could find were old posts about it and something about re-compiling kernels or something.

    I think it uses the gf2k module… If it’s not autoloading, load it and check for a /dev/js?

    The page says it uses something called GamePort (15-pin connector).

    You need USB convertor OR card that supports GamePort

    well, after getting the right mod (thanks empty) I was able to get jstest-gtk to calibrate it. now to find some good flight sim games…
