    Ok, so I decided to try out the new beta Nvidia drivers; and (as usual) I forgot to also install the kernel mods… anyway, so I quit X, and tried to download the new nvidia driver using lynx and low-and-behold, if you try to go to any nvidia site using lynx you’ll get hit with a 404 not found. So; I went with elinks instead and no problem. Curse you Nvidia for not letting me use my cli web browser of choice…

    yeah http from cli is funky and ftp from cli is never a problem……

    you could have been running a ati4850 and they sent the drivers to the pasture around a year ago.
