CPUs: 2x Intel Xeon E5-2670 pstate locked to ~3 GHz
RAM: 8x8GB DDR3 ECC at 1333 MHz
Encoding was done from tmpfs to eliminate storage bottleneckingCode:HandBrake has exited.
HandBrakeCLI -Z “Fast 720p30” -i /tmp/LGCWEP263-Benchmark.mp4 -o /tmp/epeen.mp4 11045.59s user 329.05s system 1789% cpu 10:35.73 totalThat’s with the utilization fluctuating between high 50’s and low 60’s, with the CPU’s locked at full turbo speed via pstate. Without the pstate lock, the CPU’s were not achieving speeds above base, and were sometimes downclocking. So yeah, [nope]Handbrake[/nope] video encoding prefers Ryzen threads.
