    Just cost me $80 and (although the resolution is a bit shitty) it works rather well with quite a ton of free games. Plus no tethering cables… the phone does overheat, but I made a quick fan setup (https://goo.gl/y9SNRA) that works quite nicely. I might post a blog or some review somewhere about it later on but as it’s not linux (even though the phone runs Android) not sure if this is the spot.

    This is by far the most efficient way to drain the battery of your telephone.
    Plus, you can watch VR pron with your battery drainer so what’s not to like?

    John Carmack took Samsung’s checks to the bank, and never looked back. Now, he’s trash talking mobile VR.

    Let’s face it: it’s not really VR like the Vive. It’s a head-tracking display, and not much more at this point.
