MemberIm seriously considering upgrading (or side-grading depending on who ask) my computer to a FX-8350. While browsing the newer 990FX boards though, I noticed that all of them had Killer NICs in them (E220x). Anyone have experience with these NICs and if so how good do they actually work on Linux?

I mean a 486 can handle routing gigabit traffic at full speed. The idea that checking for new packets is slowing your games down: SOUNDBLASTER EXTIGY LEVEL TOTAL BS.
They are supported though, on kernel 3.10+ by the alx module. ref

MemberIve heard nothing but bad things about Killer through the years. But for some reason all the new AMD 990FX board manufactures decided that it’ll be a great idea to put them on their boards. Ill just have to go and revisit my options.

KeymasterI have a Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 and I’ve had no issues with networking. None that were from my end, anyway.
Then again, this motherboard has a Realtek 8111F.
