    So, updated my debian box, now gets 3.10-2-amd64, Cinnamon 1.8.8, GTK 3.8 and looking good! until you try to change an element like a window border or Icon then you get a big fat NOPE. The new GTK3 segfaults with any unico based theme that isn’t updated. That means, if you�re using an old theme, no GTK3 apps will run, nil, nada! *(Desktop=bye-bye hello bash). Solution: delete the nasties in .config or log in as another user (if you like to share). New kernel killed Nvidia too but that was an easy fix…..So my point? Cant wait till we throw Mir or Wayland into this GUI House of cards that is our desktop. And no, using XFCE, LXDE, MATE, Gn3 or even Unity (haha) is not a solution.
