Before going defunct, the company behind the LithTech engine has released their source code for the engine and a bunch of games. Until now they haven’t been put to good use and the games have become mostly unavailable.

There had been some plans to republish the No One Lives Forever series (even with Linux support) but it ended in a legal mess and never happened:

What I’d like to do is to set up a project aiming to port these games (NOLF 1 & 2, Blood 2, Shogo and FEAR) to Linux using modern development tools and techniques. I’d like the full process to be fully documented so it can serve as a reference for developers wanting to port their games on Linux. Of course, I already have tons of projects going on and I suck at C++ but managing a project, testing and writing documentation, that I can do.

There’s already one person who attempted to port these games but hasn’t done anything since 2012, maybe he can be brought back in the loop. https://github.com/jsj2008/lithtech ( <- that’s were you get the engine’s source code btw)

I know there’s a port of Shogo for Linux but it’s very old and it’s a PITA to run on modern systems.

There are currently no way to get legit copies of the NOLF games … but the games can still be found.
