Ok don’t get me wrong, I like it, it is a great idea with alot of features. My issue with it is this, if your going to advert it, you must keep it upto date on all fronts if you want peope to use it.

Also the website does not have links to the latest versions. The installers need to be expanded to using the discs for those that have original software. Digital download is great but we all didn’t buy it on GOG or steam.

Like I said I like Lutris it has alot of features and great ideas. They just need to be connected and completed. If an update is needed for it to work correctly, we need it available. I am willing to help like I said but it makes it hard to use when it does not do as it should on simple tasks. Audio being one.

It’s quite a complicated time for Lutris right now. The next version is late. Very late. But offers TONS of fixes. The thing is, it’s not tested enough yet, I fix bug in it almost every day.
Nowadays, I tend to tell people to use the development version, since it’s much more advanced than 0.3.6 but I still have to build packages for most distros.

For installers, it’s a community driven work. I can’t write installers for games I don’t have. What I want to do is make it simpler to publish installers by building a GUI editor on the website. I’ll probably take care of it between 0.3.7 and 0.4.0.

For sound issues in Wine, use 1.8-rc2 or 1.55-staging, those are the versions where I’m sure the sound is working. Anything before 1.7.52 I’ll probably have to rebuild.

    – Acronym
    – Latin
    – Frenchy

Here is an example, I have Skyrim installed, in Lutris it says no sound divce available. That makes Skyrim not launch when you click play. I have the exact same install in Q4 (GUI for wine nothing else) I can launch and play Skyrim. They both are using the same exact version of wine 1.7.52. The system installed wine.

As you said this is a bug in 0.3.6.3, but I can’t get a newer version so I can’t get it to work.

Wine 1.7.52 is probably part of the broken builds. If you want something that works, use this: https://lutris.net/files/runners/wine-1 … 686.tar.gz

I tried building updated versions of the lutris RPMs but I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing and the builds fail. Until I find a maintainer for RPM packages, Lutris will be deb only.
