But that tracks all the episodes not just the latest. Low ball would be 20K per episode and that sounds like a lot but most advertisers want a minimum 50K before they give you the time of day.

So if we got a sub of $3.00 a month from th e 20K that’s $60,000.00 a month. So realistically I would expect maybe $5k to maybe $10k range a month?

I say do a $3.00 a month lgc basic membership (card carrying member) then at $5.00 a month membership with a priv irc channel. $10.00 a month gets a priv chatroom either irc or xmpp that can ask questions that are adressed live during the show. All this to be moderated and lgc picks fulltime mods for this. This is a start.

Sorry Freejack_, but l33t forum/chat access isn’t going to part the fools from their monies. I don’t think the focus should be on the live show either, at least at first. Focus on something even the audio podcasters can benefit from/participate in.

My thoughts:
I think giving away games is the way to lure people in. Start simple: give out an excess Humble Bundle game each week to someone who’s a Patreon >= $1/episode. Make them show a screenshot of their Steam running on Linux or something.
Once you get to $X/episode, start giving out a copy of the game being reviewed.

Tiers:
$1/episode – bareass minimum
$4.20/episode – wink, wink, nudge, nudge
$6.66/episode(month?) – LGC beast
$90.01/year – OVER 9000!!1!
