Turnover = troll level nope Let’s start a thread about Phoronix on a volatile forum, where lots of passionate posters have heated debates about things ACTUALLY worthwhile to discuss.

Hint: the bait was too out in the open… Shoulda been like Hey, lay off Phoronix, the guy has alot of good, quality articles. Occasionally he messes up, but hey he’s human. He’s made the Linux community better with his insight some trite bullshit like that.

Now, go forth and be fruitful.

I just don’t find his journalism professional. He has done some great things for the community. The benchmarking application comes in handy occasionally. I think he just bites the bullet with a lot of articles before checking the sources. Also I think the game articles are a deliberate ploy for him to get more hits.

It seems that the comments on the Reddit was just giving him advice not to post articles like Larabel’s. I think Liam over-reacted on this one. At least he didn’t do a Phil Fish and says to his readers “commit suicide”.

Just noticed the [deleted] bit on linux_gaming.

I would not worry about him nopeing out. It has all happened before and will all happen again, seriously. There was a “I’m quitting” rant on Twitter about two years back.

I like Liam but FFS he needs to learn how to take constructive criticism.
