    XBMC is no longer XBox Media Center, nor even XMBC as of release 14.

    How is this even slightly related to political correctness? What the actual fuck?

    The “XBox” part of their name is no longer relevant and is confusing so they change names, how is this a problem?

    In the beginning, it was “XBox Media Center” and all was good. Then, it started running on things other than the original XBox, so they changed the name to be “XBMC”. Some people still felt that the XBMC was still too evocative of its XBox origins, so they had to change it again, to something more generic and lawyer approved. Hence the political correctness.

    Also, I was quite drunk when I posted this, so fuck you Strider.
