    Hi,

This is my first post here. I’m a relative noob with linux and for work purposes I have no issues but I’ve been having trouble finding games I want to play… so I was hoping to find some help.

Does anyone know of a strategy game that I can play on Linux that is province based like the Europa Universallis series, Knights of Honor, or Crusader Kings? I know each of these are unique in their own way but they all have the same concept of grand strategy. Also I am using an acer netbook with not the best specs so the Linux version of Crusader Kings 2 requires just a little more than my machine can offer.

1.60gHz Intel Atom processor, 1.5g ram, but i do have a terabite hard drive so space isn’t an issue…

I guess in the end I’m looking for a relatively simple RTS or Turn Based Strategy game not like freeciv (Civilization series clone) or 0A.D… I don’t even know if something like this exists.

I seem to have the system requirements to play games like EU3 and KoH unfortunately I’m having trouble running them through wine. But any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So Ive been able to install and get EU2 to play on my netbook. But I’ve come into an odd problem. The first day I installed it (yesterday) it was fine and it ran I was able to play with no issues. But today it either freezes while loading the game (at “Initializing Interface”) or the game crashes after playing a few minutes. I haven’t changed any settings from yesterday to today. Not sure what happened. And it’s not a cracked game. I am running the game through wine. Has anyone come across a problem like this with any games or programs run with wine?
