It’s not abandoned, and the PS4/Vita ports actually are using a large amount of the same code so that everything will get done in our lifetimes.

    Pssst!

“The status of the port right this moment is that it has some input and rendering problems and audio is spotty.”

That’s the same status is had last year.

As much as I would like playing Tekken 7 on my Linux, I wouldn’t put my hopes up too much. I’m waiting to hear about a Japanese studio who gives a single fuck about Linux (ok, we have 2 Sega games, but that’s about it). Japanese studios usually don’t even care about making proper Windows ports of their games

Hopefully, Project Cars will teach us a few things about Namco / Bandai’s stance on Linux.

So I asked G-money about port time (he’s not doing ze port) https://twitter.com/icculus/status/489158802265354240

Strider, I agree. Companies who target consoles really like that every game costs 60 wet stinky and FK sales.

So basically what they’re saying was that Linux wasn’t going to be a primarily supported platform from genesis, but they just forgot to mention it or correct anyone who was saying otherwise.

    …Right
