On a dare, I grabbed the SteamyLink SDK and built MAME4ALL.
Once it was compiled and installed, it showed up in the main menu:

The biggest bummer is that I haven’t figured out how to get the Steam Controller — or any controller — to work. Neo Geo isn’t meant to be played on a keyboard.
