MemberI also had issues with sound lagging behind. A word of warning don’t mess with the video resolution the damn thing will crash and take your desktop res with it. I had to reboot and now the game will not start but is still fucking my desktop res again. I have yet to find a way to fix that yet.

ParticipantI grabbed the copy from Freejacks torrent, moved it into ~/.doom3/darkmod, allowed thedarkmod.x86 to execute and bingo..all worked, res changed, bumped up graphics to ultra and played through the tutorials, without issue so far.

MemberI put mine in the home folder in the user root in a folder called darmod since this is the standalone and the install instructions said to put it there. Executed thedarkmod.x86 and it ran without issue.

MemberNoticed sound issues with delayed sounds while playing. Anyone else have this?

KeymasterVenn wasn’t kidding about the load times…
On my end, it also inherits the Doom3 bug of not registering the directional keys properly, it completely ignores my Anti-Aliasing settings and Fullscreen mode makes my multi-monitor setup to go haywire (also Doom3).
That said, using the open source drivers, everything else seems to be working fine. No sound delay issues either.
