That is the second most uninformed take on Linux gaming Ive witnessed this year. I’m not even factoring in the show being recorded/edited/streamed/produced on MAC because I like these guys.

The opinions of those who actively prefer Gnome are automatically suspect.

I said it once and I’ll say it countless times more. LaS is now more of a commercial and not the enjoyable kind, when Bryan was there he bought “character” to the show.

Bryan tends to get excited and wet his pants whenever someone says “Suse” or “OpenSuse” but I like the Lunduke guy, he’s awesome.

And chris Pronounces Bodhi Linux as “Bo-daai Linux” which is Durian

Yeah I have gone back in their archives and they used to do some really good stuff. Now it’s all commercial, I know it’s to pay the bills. Really come on, I have tried almost every version of linux out there, along with almost every desktop/windows manager. I have found each has a very good niche. I mean that honestly. Gnome and KDE are for those that want to show off, XFCE is where the guys who like to be conservative on the system start. It goes from there. Distros each have a very good niche and meet the needs of each differently.

The one thing these guys used to do was talk about all the distros and all the desktops. Now it’s about Systems76 to get sales and Ting phones. All great to earn a dime, but be honest. Quit being Politically Correct. I know the audiance is different than LGC but if you can not give it without sugar coating it, it’s time to stop. When was the last time they actually did an honest review?

DoortoDoorGeek is 110% better and honest with viewers and podcasters than these guys.

I was PC 20 years ago in the corporate environment and it got me run over. I vowed never again. I would be honest and even if it was brutal I vowed I would do it. I have been that way since, and in doing so have learned I want the same way. I was tired of people going in circles and never telling me what the issue was. Now they email it to you through someone else. That’s why I like Linus so much, he tells you and if you can’t deal with it, leave. He is straight forward, honest, really brutal but next time you will remember.

I guess what I am saying is these guys are conforming to what they think they have to do. If that is the case, I won’t be paying attention to them. Like some game review site we all know. No it’s not LGC……. seems they selling out on that slippery slope, for some wet stinkies…….

Nah, got plenty of ram. I need that for the 30 apps I have open, the 76 tabs in Firefox, and the 10 tabs in Chrome.

Plus whatever else is running that I don’t see. I use ram to run programs not to run the pretty desktop.
