    System:
    CPU: Intel i5 2500 @ 3.3GHz
    RAM: 8GB
    GPU: Nvidia GTX 550Ti
Driver: 304 (really should update that)
    OS: Mint 14 64-bit

    Problems:
TF2 has worse load times than on Windows, and for some reason doesn’t like downloading custom files at all (times out)

    System:
    CPU: Intel Core i3 @2.4ghz
    RAM: 3GB DDR3
GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon 5470 512MB
Driver: Catalyst 12.11.1 (with a stupid unsupported hardware watermark grr)
    OS: Arch Linux i686

    Problems:
When TF2 is running, Steam’s CPU usage jumps to 110%.
This, combined with TF2’s load causes my laptop to overheat and shutdown a few minutes into play. It can play the game fine in Windows or Wine.

I bet your favourite colour is Green.

    System
CPU: AMD Phenom II 965 BE 3.4GHz
    RAM: 16GB
    GPU: Nvidia 460GTX
    Driver: 310
    OS: Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit

    Problems:
TF2 loads extremely slow on start and on level change. In SS3BFE I get a lot lower FPS than in Windows.

    Venn’s favorite color is dark.
Jordan’s favorite color is “I don’t have one”.

Intel Core i7 3930k CPU, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 graphics card, and 32GB of RAM.

    None thus far.

Venn has no eyes and Canadians can’t see color.

    Here are mine.

    CPU- Core i5 2430M @ 2.3GHz (turbo up to 2.9)
    RAM- 6GB
    GPU- Nvidia 550M
    Driver- 310 experimental
    OS- Xubuntu 12.10, Windows 8

On a side note, I’ve heard bad things about Radeon drivers for Linux. Is that true? I’m thinking of buying a new laptop soon, with a Radeon GPU.

Although I’ve been using Linux since 1995; I only recently had the funds to get a good gaming system. Normally I’d be running Slackware, but there’s a couple of drivers that work under 12.10 that I’d rather play games than try to get it working.

    System76 Bonobo Extreme
    CPU: Core i7 3630QM @ 2.4GHz x 8
    RAM: 16GB DDR3
GPU: GeForce GTX 670MX 3GB RAM
    Driver: Nvidia-319.23
    OS: Ubuntu 12.10 64bit / Slackware 14 64bit
    HD: 2 x 1TB, 1 x 500GB, 1 x eSATA 1TB

    Issues:
Only issue I’ve had with Steam is where Ubuntu keeps it’s 32bit drivers (/usr/lib32) which I fixed by editing the /usr/bin/steam file and adding:

    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib32/nvidia-319:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
although I’m still having issues with getting Shatter to run.

    Mah Rig

Intel’s genetically modified mutant Dolphin brains
w/gerbil on hamster wheel spinning HDD.
Video card is a voodoo… literally. HDMI can be shoved in chicken head’s other eye socket but mah old monitor doesn’t have the input.

Wanted to go liquid cooled… but can’t afford the tiny scuba suit for the gerbil yet.
