ParticipantSo, I recently had to help this attractive 19 year old woman with her brand new laptop running Windows 8. Using a 3G USB card, she was able to create a new email and hook up every Microsoft app that came with the laptop. Now when she tries to logon though, she gets a ‘Your PC is offline. Please sign in with the last password used on this PC” error and no matter what she tries, she can not logon. I sorta blew up and sent this email…
Quote:How are you? I am fine. I’m an American currently living in Tanzania and I have to use a 3G usb stick in order to use the internet. I am new to Windows 8 but so far I am really upset at this monstrosity. I have upgraded to 8.1 and was able to login / attach the local account with the “cloud” however now whenever I try to boot the laptop, I am getting this “offline” message and no matter what password I try it fails. I have NO access to any wifi nor ethernet just my 3G usb adapter which doesn’t start up when the computer does (i.e. the network won’t connect). If you are FORCED to have an internet connection when you want to use your laptop in Windows 8…. UGHHHHHH; that’s just ridiculous. Or does Microsoft not care about any other country that doesn’t always have internet 24/7 every mother fucking place you go?…
