Wine support in Steam for Linux good or bad?

I was thinking if Valve added wine support into Steam for linux would it be a good or bad thing?
On the plus side you’d suddenly have the entire steam library available to you without having to run
a second steam instance in wine. Steam could instead just launch the Window only games using Wine.

Of course the downside is that now devs have even less of a reason to write native ports and we get
stuck with wine ports. But I guess that’s still better then EON ports right? The Witcher 2 would probably actually run
then haha.

Thoughts?
