Wireless Gerbil surgery

Replacing the copper spring in the MX700 FrankenGerbil. Swapping out the Omron D2F microswitch is a motherfuc*er ..and a last resort.

Did something similar today, except it was the PCIe x16 port on my old motherboard.

Replaced most of what wasn’t soldered on, with bits from the one of the HP desktop I was given.

Both of them are working fine, before you get any ideas!

TIL the mouse I use (MX518) sells for $120 and the mouse that’s sitting in my living room (MX1000) sells for $300.

What the hell is going on? Are are mice made nowadays total crap or what?
