ParticipantHoly crapsticks! It runs decently after the latest beta update today. Not perfectly, it still hitches occasionally, but it’s seriously playable with everything at 11… FINALLY.

MemberToo late for me, after initial release I lost all interest, too bad too as I was waiting a long time for this game. My butt still hurts after buying this game.

ParticipantMy butt is a touch sore as well, but at least they’ve stayed at it. If they had launched with the beta, instead of starting it a month later, much butthurt could have been avoided.

ParticipantAfter this whole eON debacle, you better believe they lost any goodwill from me. CDProjekt is targeting a lot of different platforms for 3, as opposed to Witcher 2 which was DX9 to the core. Let’s just hope they can bother with an actual OpenGL renderer this time around, instead of some jenky translation layer.

ParticipantDone.
Very questionable tech choices.
Quality of port went from poor to acceptable.
The game itself was excellent all the way.September 17, 2014 at 11:36 pm #71637Freejack_
MemberWatch video card temps with this one………I ran Witcher 2 and it tried to fry my card……it stated hitting over 88C granted my card is good till 95C but no other game even comes close to that temp. I see on average 75C

Edit: Oh, sorry I thought it was a review of the game but it’s just a confession that Zero Punctuation sucks at playing the game.
Edit 2: To be honest, I started the game on easy when I realised how bad it was performing (as a tradeoff for the port’s quality). When the game got patched and playable, I said “Fuck no, I’m not starting a new game”.
But, I would play it again at a higher difficulty level.September 18, 2014 at 2:41 pm #71644Pedro Mateus
KeymasterTo be honest I never really played The Witcher 2. I played like 4 hours of the first one and finally realized that if I was going to be playing an MMO, I might as well play Guild Wars. At least there’s others players around to break the monotony.

ParticipantYeah, I watched the review for the first game also by Zero Punctuation and it seems to be quite different from The Witcher 2. The second one feels way more like an action RPG game: when I tried switching from keyboard + mouse to the X360 controller it felt soooo much better and I realized I had been doing it wrong all along.
Yep, this is a console game, or should I say a SteamOS game, I’ll try it again with the Steam controller on a Steam Box!
