WTF Plex

I started playing around with Plex and it seems neat and all but it isn’t showing my USB drive when adding folders to my library.
I changed the user to ‘strider’ in /etc/default/plexmediaserver and it didn’t change a thing. What do I need to do to tell Plex to pull its shit together?

It doesn’t even download subtitles from OpenSubtitles and they want me to pay for that?!

Plex can’t even pause / resume videos properly. Sometimes it will work if paused for a very short time and at other times, it will show a spinner and the video will need to be reloaded or it will even play the video back from the beginning.

Also, it used to detect new files added to the library and now I have to refresh every thing to add a single episode.

I want to like Plex, it’s a neat project but man, it’s buggy!

Yeah, mine runs perfectly. Pausing, Chromecasting, automagically updating… it all “just works”.

Strider, if you keep having problems, you should try ARCH!!1!
