We tested the HDMI to USB 3.0 Video Grabber (HG-11) with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. The results were, surprising.
So, what do we think of the $70 USB 3.0 HDMI video capture, thingy?
PROS
- It really does 1080p @ 60fps.
- Does not overheat.
- Completely plug and play.
- Virtually lag free.
- Priced to sell.
CONS
- Occasional pixelation while recording.
NOTE:
After probing the hardware a bit, I’m 90% certain it’s using the same internals as the ExtremeCap U3 (not Linux compatible).
