It’s basically added support for the Radeon 8000 series. No noticeable improvements for other hardware yet.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a good thing. To be honest I just wish the OSS drivers could surpass the prop. ones in 3D performance. I’d drop fglrx so fast there’d be a virtual crater where it was lodged.
